Appearance:
Quite tall and built athletic, Mara would be a somewhat imposing figure on her own even without the devil features. Her body type is apple-shaped, with shoulders slightly broader than her hips. Her skin is scaled, heavily on her back and sides, and tapering off to softer scales as one gets to her inner areas, much like a lizard. Her outer scales are a dark red, and the inner are yellow. Her elbows, knees, and collarbone area have bony, grey protrusions. Generally, she keeps the collarbone areas broken off and filed down to avoid clothing issues. Curled horns protrude from above her forehead, looping around behind her ears, and her eyes are a red-orange, and her sclera are black. Her hair is silvery in color, though she lacks the age for that to be a natural occurrence. Its texture is curly and thick, and is often styled in dreadlocks. Her tail is heavy and tapering like a lizard's with a spade at the end.

Notably, she has a scar over her right eye, which is blinded and a dull grey compared to the vibrant of her other. A messy, vaguely H-shaped scar wraps around her right forearm, and a ragged line scar is on her left side. She prefers to keep these covered if she can, and otherwise is generally uncomfortable with people seeing them unless she chooses to do so.

Background:
A tiefling, raised as part of cult to a high-ranking archdevil to raise powerful soldiers for the purpose of forwarding the cause of said devil. Her time growing up was filled with grooming and combat training. She was among a few who were not quite as easily indoctrinated, however, and were eventually freed of the cult in her teenage years. Afterwards, Maratris lent her skills to a guild who specialized in dealing with dispatching dangerous magical threats and worked with law enforcement as necessary with capturing criminals who utilize powerful magical capabilities. Her role in this team was a combatant, using the skills she was raised to have for the sake of protecting those in the line of fire. These days, she freelances on her own terms, though she seems to accidentally be picking up a new group of friends as she goes.

Personality:
For the most part, Maratris is stoic and blunt, and doesn't think before she speaks sometimes - or even doesn't realize the implications of some things she says. Metaphors often fly over her head, and humor isn't her strong suit. This generally applies to when it comes to work or interacting with most strangers. Those who get closer, however, will find her very curious and affectionate, even if she's a little socially stunted due to her upbringing. Those whom she trusts will find her fiercely loyal and protective. Mara is eager to experience things in the world, and is likely to try most anything once if it's new to her. She's rather reserved around total newcomers because she never knows how anyone will react to her appearance, and thus has some body image issues. She's getting better at that, however.
